A bunch of weirdos on Leviathan

Has anyone on Leviathan notice a few... strange characters around lately? Like they'd all huddle up, wear the same clothes, make strange movements, go afk for few hours, and randomly disappear and re-appear. I'd be fine if it was roleplay, but when I saw one of them run in a straight line, vanish, and run in a straight line again, I got a chill down my spine.



Here's a pic of a group of them I came across while lvling THM a while ago. There's just something.... eerie about them. I ran into others a few weeks back but didn't take note of it until now

So they're bots, huh? I had a feeling that's what they were...

But even so, they play the game! I saw a few of them actually doing the thaumaturge quests.

yes they are cheating, most likely. Or just a multiboxer, but I highly doubt that.

You see these in every server. This particular group is being leveled up obviously. Once they are leveled and geared, the company will have them run dungeons or sit in the open world, spiritbinding and selling materia on the market board. Then the gil they make is sold to people who pay money for it.

They probably won't ever be banned, sadly. SE seems to go more after the RMT accounts that hold all the gil, and the RMT advertisement spammers.

Yes, apparently it is easier to make a case against the RMT account holders than the bots, and anyway the bots are earning money for SE. The presence of bots and lack of action against them even when reported does affect the game experience in my opinion.
