Which NPC inspires you the most?

I am a huge fan of Alka Zolka.

Those of you who hasn't had the pleasure of meeting him yet, he is a Marauder positioned in Limsa Lominsa's MRD guild.

He is no ordinary marauder however, many of whom speak with typical pirate drawl and possess manner befitting a brute. Alka Zolka is a gentleman and a scholar.

Not Scholar with a capital S but a true scholar of the lost civilisation of Nym. He is the one who leads Arcanists to become a Scholar.

He showed me that Marauders weren't at all brutish and simple (RPwise). He has such passion and drive that inspired me to take up the role of a Marauder.

I wish to know if you have a soft spot for a certain NPC's plight. Maybe many Ninja would sympathise with Ladt Yugiri. I can see Edda's love being a horror-inducing inspiration fkr all.

Papashan the npc in Central Thanalan he is a retired Sultansworn Paladin but he came out of retirement to help out Ul'dah during the story side of Ul'dah. He is a book you can not read by the cover and i think he is just cool

I have a list of NPCs that I like and don't really like so much (Minfillia is on my don't like list but that is my opinion who am I to judge another's) but if there is any NPC that I would rate pretty high on my list it would have to be Nael Van Darnus the main villain of Before Meteor A.K.A 1.18 to 1.23. Even though I did not play the game when it first came out I helped myself to research on the lore that took place before a Realm Reborn and it almost makes me wish I was there and Van Darnus to me was a better villain then Lahabrea though you do need to give him some credit but still the NPC I am most inspired by is Nael Van Darnus because of what he accomplished I feel motivated to fight for the light even knowing that even those who walk under the sun may have there own evil (Empathy must be the ultimate and most elusive virtue in FFXIV as far as I am seeing.)

Oh yeah the GLD guildmaster does that too, and naturally ACN. It was a pleasant surprise when I first got it!

Gigi from Goldsmith's Guild. In every crafter story your character usually gets lots of praise for making something, while Gigi does the exact opposite and it works xD

I know right? Everybody's like how my cooking is so fabulous when it's just a NQ stuff. Gigi is the true tsundere that we all deserve.

I have to agree with Azurr and say Gigi, though I might be slightly biased at my love for tsunderes who point out a shady character long before we ever realize something's up with them .... and because I started as a thaumaturge. "Gift him with the gift of fire!" for fire is the gift that keeps on giving. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

Honestly tons of them so far. I like the Ascians, the Scions, the Empire, most of the NPC's are fun in general. Some of the main story scenes are pretty intense too.

I'm afraid that I find none of the NPCs particularly inspiring. Great though the stories have been, they aren't really on a par with what I'd find in a movie or a book.

But there are a number of NPCs that I do care about:

K'lyhia, the arcanist mentor who eventually managed to overcome her traumatic past.

Sylphie, the gifted conjurer who had to come to terms with her prodigious talent.

U'kahzuna, the U tribe huntress who was unwittingly caught up in the power struggle between the tribe's aspiring nuhns.

Severian, the acerbic alchemist guildmaster who just wanted to bid goodbye properly to his lost love.


And that blond miqo'te arcanist looking for her lost pet. I so very much want to tell her where Ruby is.
