    add hair length slider

this way we can adjust current and future hair styles length

this way we pick the hair style we like then adjust its length

Out of all the games I've ever played, each with varying levels of customization, I've never played one that let you control the length of your hair or even heard of one that let's you do so. I imagine that would be a nightmare to deal with from a programming perspective and the clipping would be horrendous; one of the primary reasons SE gave for us not having that many long hairstyles in the first place. It would serve them better to have the same hairstyles come in several static lengths instead of allowing a full-blown slider.

While it's a nice idea on paper in practice it would need tons of processing to allow it to happen without clipping and for just hair that's just not practical. Hair is one of the most difficult things to model since real hair contains thousands of tiny strands. This is why most hair looks plastic when moving.

I've seen it in a couple games before (might have been an elderscrolls game?) But not in an mmo yet.

Single player games can allow for more resources for the player character since you rarely seen that many models at the same time. In an MMO you can see a hundred or more and all that processing causes massive fps drops and on occasion ability lag.

All Points Bulletin (APB Reloaded) has a hair length slider. It's the only one I remember currently, but I'm fairly certain there are 1 or 2 more games with one.

Wouldn't affect it much since a slider like that wouldn't actually be creating new geometry. All it would do is stretch the bones, faces and textures that are already there.
