Well, I never gave attention for critical hit rate. Seems lottery. I still need do more 3 books, but after this I intend to put piety, determination and spell speed in Novus.

Anyway, I never did Coil and probably never will do. Then I do not undersstand about this need to crit.

Slightly off-topic, but do yourself a favor and ditch the spell speed idea on your Novus. Crit will serve you much, much better.

You don't need to be running end game to appreciate the value of a higher chance to land crit shields, not to mention how crit impacts out off- DPS compared to spell speed.

as an endgame raider sch from day1 2.0, Crit is a nice bonus, but I rarely use ADLO. Piety is more consistent and scales with my aetherflow. Lets me cover mistakes (various resses) without having to worry about my MPs

I was happy, with second coil, that I would get all my items faster becoz I just had to drop them (just the hat, never dropped)

It's a good thing for coil farmers, bad thing for the others.

Now I'm not doing Final Coil yet, but I'm WHM anyway.

I still appreciate crit on T13, getting that crit adloq in means I can switch back to DPSing a GCD earlier for the most part.

The only pieces where this matters are the legs, which are:

Ironworks - 34 DET, 33 SPS
Dreadwyrm - 33 CRIT, 36 PIE

A 1:1 trade on DET to CRIT is a bad idea.

Lol, nooooo, I like crit cause when i crit an adlo I can dps more, but its not really necessary, i love more spell speed or determitation why i would want to crit 1400 on a adlo when u can normally hit 1100 adlo with more det? (its an example) learn to micro manage selene and eos, believe me, u dont want selene in auto, crit is not that important

DET yes, Spell Speed no.

If SCHs didn't have shields attached to their heals, crit would probably rank just above spell speed at the bottom of the pile in terms of usefulness, but that's not the case.

You can heal perfectly fine with only poetics gear, if a little less optimized.

If you can't join a raid group the small loss to optimization is a non-issue. If your healing is strong enough to comfortably handle ramuh/shiva you're essentially done.

Ok, so I finally reached ilvl 100 on my SCH (I am new to game), but i have noticed that most of the new ilvl 120+ crit gear is from the final coil?

So basically, you can almost get BIS from just farming poetics on a WHM, but for a SCH, you have to be able to clear Final coil to get BiS?

So your complaint is that you don't like how we have to clear the hardest content in the game to get the best gear in the game?

But you are right anyway, so OP please be happy you even get comparable gear without raiding.
