I do remember Yoshi saying something about solo dungeons being a thing in 3.0, but I could be way off base.

Well you have a few options here.
1. Wait for 3.0 to run dungeons again.
2. Wait for the ninja hype to dissipate (There was serious Arcanist hype with 2.0 that made DPS queues very hard to get into, as I was maining PUG/MNK at the time). Could take until 2.5 at least, but it should die down eventually.
3. Wait for the queues despite the ninja hype.
4. Level Crafting/Gathering Classes in the meantime.
5. Level via Leves.
It's not really Square's fault. There was a demand for ninjas, and lo, ninjas were implemented. The only thing that could have averted this crisis would have been either putting off Ninjas until 3.0 or implementing a Tank and Healer Class/Job at the exact same time. The only thing anyone who needs to level stuff can do is sit tight and wait for the flood to pass, because it will pass. It'll just take time. Just like it did when Arcanists were freaking everywhere in 2.0
i really understand your point... But my point is :
1- Not an option really, 3.0 is way far in time.
2- The ninja hype ill take about 2 to 3 months to dissipate at this point.
3- Ive tried, queues of 160 minutes and nothing
4- Yeah that is good but only that all day gets boring eventually
5- applies to 4 also.
Its not like i cannot understand, but i enjoy dungeons and makes me "mad" not being able to do them it the classes i want. My healer is already at 50 so only tank remains. But i suck at tanking and dont really like a class that is more like a punching bag for mobs. xD
I even tried to start a new char from the beggining to pass time... then i reach that part where i had to do dungeons... oh boy... i really feel sorry for the new people entering this game now.
