Please help me understand the XP system of this game!

Ok this is my 1st time posting a thread and im reasonably new to this forum or forms in general frankly so excuse me if this topic has already been discussed elsewhere.

I frankly do not understand the XP/SP system of this game. I have been putting considerable effort recently into putting together to the best of my abilities FF11-style grind parties to frankly limited success because the party search function is frankly a joke. (won't harp on that anymore here) and I've taken severl parties to the same camp and for the 1st time ive partied enough to notice something strange.......
The number of people in a party does not really seem to have ANY effect on how much xp you get per kill. I had a group of 5 ppl killing beastmen for about 300 or so SP/kill and as people started to leave the kills inevitably became harder and longer but the sp stayed at EXACTLY what it had been prior. Eventually it just got down to me soloing and it took me like literally 10 minutes to kill one mob and STILL i got the same 300sp/kill. I was stunned to make this discovery......... Doesn't it make sense for the amount of comparative effort involved in killing something to have a reasonable effect on the amount of XP you get? Is this just some kind of strange bug I ran across or is this how this games system is actually supposed to work? and if so please someone help me understand the virtue of it.

I assume this will be addressed in future patch and probably sooner rather than later with leve nerf and push on party play. As you know game is going thru growing pains and this is just an artifact of the old system.

SP slightly change depends on your party size, this is done so that it encourages partying.

Comparative effort is not exactly true here, it doesn't matter if a party or one person kill a mob, it is still after all the same mob. A party of r20 killing a r30 Beastmen, will be easier compared to a r50 solo a r30 Beastmen? Or is it the other way? Between a weak Coblyn and a mighty Drake though, there is a big leap in term of SP/XP rewarded, because effort in killing a Coblyn (no matter who do it) is not the same as killing a Drake.

Although I appreciate some of your points I'm not sure your understanding the situation I am talking about. I was in a party of 5 people killing a specific mob. I killed one of those very same mobs solo on the same job i was on b4 and got the exact same amount of SP even though it took me 10 min. to kill it solo as opposed to the 15 seconds it took my party earlier. Are you honestly trying to make the argument that 10 minutes worth of work should yield the same XP as 15 seconds of work simply because it is "after all the same mob"?

Yes, it should. You rob a bank. Whether you did it in 15 seconds or you did it in 15 days, you could only get as much money as it had. Are you saying that, because you had to do something longer (inefficiently) you should be rewarded more? Because I believe in real life it's usually the opposite.

So if 5 people robbed a bank with 1 million dollars in it you think that in the real world they would each get the same share of the loot as if 1 person robbed that same bank?........ lol
Math was never my strong subject but im reasonable sure simple division makes your example oh so very flawed in about every way. Sorry to burst your bubble there but try coming up with an example that doesn't defy the laws of basic math before you post replies from now on.

Mariya...you confuse me. 1 million % 5 is significantly different than 1 million % 1, and the game should reflect that, even if it is inefficient to do so. Challenges are good, but challenges that give a sense of accomplishment are better.

You probably hit the SP cap (maximum sp gained per mob) so the exp remains unchanged.
Someone mentioned the cap is 3x mob base exp but don't trust me on that.

It should vary as you think it should on mobs lower in level from what you were killing.
