Pretty sure he misses Carbuncle itself, not the abilities of the Carbuncles. It isn't the mechanics, it's the aesthetics.

And there's no way that they'll actually drop all of the classes, it seems like it'd be too much of a rework to actually do that.

Again. If he actually "misses" Carbuncle "aesthetically," then all he needs to do is set a gear set and remove the scholar/summoner soul crystal and play carbuncle... but if it is the mechanics to hold a candle to summoner dps, then the class itself would need a rework (which I am sure from his previous two comments he is aware he can actually play an Arcanist aesthetically, he just wants it to function mechanically, independently and to not be discriminated against in high level game play).

I don't think that removal of the class system would be done. Yes small tweaks to the classes may be done. But I believe that some jobs won't need base classes as there will be a bit hard to make. For example wat class would dancer come from its much easier to make it as a job than making a base class that would probly see no other job crystal than dancer. Its not like archer were u can get two job crystals like bard or even ranger using the same base class. I just think that some jobs won't have base classes.

I agree, but I quoted you more for the lol of my answer to the bold part of your statement

My answer is simple: Stripper or as some people label it Entertainer... each quest would be "Go to x location and on top of the table in adventures guild, bar etc and remove a piece of gear every minute while dancing."
