Agreed. Let's just hope if they decide to add an auction house that it isn't just something that was quickly thrown together and ends up being worse than the market ward.

How can it be worse then the MW, when the MW is worse then the basic functions of an AH, with fancier graphics.

Not too sure what that's supposed to mean but ok.

In the end, I rather just select an item from the screen press buy, and be done with it...look an AH.

True, though the mailbox is simply a means of delay overflow. Like having max-ed out inventory, or gil put into your account.

Not really needed, but convenient safety features.

It was really the idiot developer minds again, that thought "we can enforce taxes and sales and prevent money laundering if they can't trade with another" type thinking.

Kinda like preventing pre-marital sex by denying teenagers a social life era thinking. (Or prevent evil thoughts by having women wear bulky clothes and hid their faces...)

Oh yes, lol. This game is missing a lot of the fundamentals. I'm glad SE is taking a few steps forward with the game, but maybe they should take a few steps back and add the things that should have always been there.

Only insane thing i see is some people that think that what this game now is wasting resources in implementing an AH when there's already a system in place that's functionally an AH without the name Auction House.

All I'm hearing is...

Needing 7 electricians to change a lightbulb, and then the solution is to add more electricians to the roster when people complain how slow and bad the process is.

The difference in usability with an auction house is minimal. And the system is more elastic on top of it. You're just too attached to a name.

If I can't personally place a retainer in the ward I want to place it in, the system is broke for myself.

Considering that now search lists the location of each retainer, it'll work exactly like an auction house whichever ward you put your retainer in.

The only "broken" thing is some people's sense of priorities.

all the MW are now is just an AH that makes u run around so... why not just make an AH where u dont have to run around like... a normal ah :O!

Anyone with a sufficent supply of grey cells would understand that scrapping a system that works to create a redundant one because those without such supply demand it, isn't the smartest idea.

That's especially true when those resources could be instead used to implement some of the things the game actually lacks.

And those with grey cells that actually think of such stuff know that you replace an old bridge with a new one if the old bridge will cost you more to do less with every passing season.

They spend more months fixing something that's not satisfactory instead of reverting to an easy and efficient old system...

Wait isn't that almost half the patches this year that eventually came to the same conclusion? Why yes...yes it is.

That's what happens when you make stupid decisions. Putting lipstick on them is only going to cost you the stupidity cost + lipstick cost on top of it.
