Why are there apparently a million color blind people playing this game? I get color blind is a thing and I'm not saying we shouldn't have stuff in for them, but I have never seen a game with more people saying "You cannot have any color ever because of colorblind people!" Ignoring that the Rogue debuff icons are actually different visuals if you take the time to learn them, they have very different colors because that's just how things work in life. By default we make the bad guys have red HP bars and your allies Green or Blue, it's just a thing, it makes it easier to associate, but people are constantly calling out SE on things like this over colorblindness. Again, I get it, people are color blind, I'm not saying you shouldn't be or that it's your fault, I'm just curious why in any post like this it seems like ten color blind people are here saying they can't see anything of anything, I have NEVER seen this many people complain about it before in any game, even WoW back at it's peek when it had more then five times the subs..

Answer to that is simple, while there might not be as many subscribers in ff14 as there is in something like wow, because of the name behind it, the simple to learn control scheme, and the proliferation of cheap midtier pcs and online enabled consoles, I wouldn't be surprised if the % of people who play ff14 who haven't played another mmo before is higher than any mmo since ultima online

Constantly? Here's the list I remember:
-Enmity list back in beta, when the dots for different aggro levels were all the same shape
    -AOE indicators*
    -Garuda sisters
    -Debuff timer number*
    -These ROG/NIN debuff icons*

*These weren't/aren't even limited to colorblindness. Plenty of people with normal vision complained/complain about AOE indicators and the debuff timer being hard to distinguish.

That's not exactly an enormous list. Are there more instances you've got in mind?

Blizzard learned how to avoid the issue a long time ago. You don't hear about it as much because they do a better job of designing things so that colorblindness isn't an issue to begin with. And no one really notices. How often do you play a game and think "Man, I wish there were more things that were exactly the same except one was red and one was green?" It's really not that limiting a thing to keep in mind when designing things. The only way anyone ever notices is if it's not designed that way from the start, and then changed later.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

That's how i feel with soe of the mobs here. On the one hand I was kinda spoiled by XII in that regard (except for the crocs, but only because they actually used all the palettes). On the other hand, the Snakes in Mor Dhona, Halatali and Hullbreaker have the exact same color scheme, despite one being in the desert, one being under a winter "wonder"land and one being on an island.

The mantises also have this issue, though I think at least 2 pallettes from XII were used, unlike the snakes. (Incendently, mantises are also on Hullbreaker)

A very pale green that's indistinguishable from white unless you get up, walk over to the TV, and stand there squinting at it for a moment or two trying to make out whether that faintly greenish cast is the color of the number or just an effect of the surrounding colors bleeding into white. Those numbers are far too tiny for such a faint color change to qualify as a distinguishing mark. I wish they'd do something that's actually visible, like a thick dark border around our own debuffs or something.
