There are an embarrassment of games out there with open world pvp. FFXIV doesn't need it to appeal. It appeals just fine.

I believe it's not only okay, but should actually be encouraged for a game to find its own identity. FFXIV is just starting to do that, and I expect it to expand on that identity in Heavensward. Just because WoW or Rift or Aion or whatever has open world pvp doesn't mean every game has to have it.

It's a PvE game. You knew what you were signing up for.
