    how about openworld duels? why has everything to be instanced?


    in Dark Age of Camelot you had a command like

    /duel challenge <name>
    /duel Accept
    /duel decline

    and you could duel everyone .. everywhere if you wanted to.

    or make the arena in Ul'dah (the small one) open for everyone ..

    Check his post-history, he's tried suggesting every alternative there is.

    The most rampant complaint with regards to open-world dueling is Player Harassment.

    Players argue that a wealth of people will harass others to no end to "duel me brah".

    And that blacklisting isn't sufficient as there is no end to the "madness".

    Personally, I think the issue is overblown but meh.

    This' the most fair & reasonable compromise really.

    Also, opening up the Coliseum wouldn't work unless it were instanced which would then be identical to this suggestion.
