Sadly you can't unless they want to get better because MMO's have become a community that just can't really deal with "criticism" because "muh feelings". The worst part is that the way people approach towards "getting better" revolves around "numbers" and not actual input into understanding "skill".

Personally I see all revenues being unproductive. The only way to go about it is having an actual 2 version training guildhest where in 1 your are forced into your personal rotation and situational awareness. Then the second being how to react as a group and using the other abilities in your arsenal that you wouldn't really touch in 1v1.

My first time in coil as DRG I didn't do so well on DMG so my pal took me out to a training dummy we stripped down to our undies and we did a DRG rotation challenge in the snow for an hour. Never did bad again. I do the same for my friends and even ppl I don't know. When I offer insight most ppl are receptive if they aren't in instances there is always an option where one of us leaves.

Screw up in Coil one time? You're a social outcast. You get kicked, the babies throw a hissie fit because thirty minutes of twenty-four hours didn't end in perfection and people wonder why most don't even bother trying anymore. With a player base like that who in their right state of mind would blame them for not giving a rat's ass. But then when they encounter someone who genuinely wants to help without being asinine or wanting to come off as such they're already on the defensive because? You guessed it. Morons who think they got life all figured out because they beat a raid. Kudos to you guys. You accomplished nothing important.

But no my intention was that you don't call them out in raid otherwise you get previously stated behavior. The "Jock and Nerd" mentality needs to gtfo. Time to grow up and act like you have some manners (not you personally). Ignoring the problem does not make it vanish but neither does getting bent out of shape over it either. If you're only solution to a problem is to lose your temper keep your mouth shut and go live in the woods. You belong with the beasts in the wilds.

Firstly "enmity" is not a valid way to judge if they have bad DPS, some classes like BRD for example have skills that specifically lower enmity in general.

The only real way to judge is if your using a parser and can actually see peoples DPS, relying on the assumption that just because the person is in the party when fail a party/group DPS check is also not valid as one of the others who might be good at other times could potentially not be trying as hard in that run yet you might be blaming the other DPS who is sometimes bad but this time is doing good simply because you assume the one who is normally good is still good this time around.

If you do use a parser or have watched a persons complete rotations through the fight and taken into account their gear then by all means tell them, tell me or whatever as a DPS that their DPS is a little low and if you know how to improve their DPS feel free to tell them how. Most players would appreciate advice BUT you have to go about it in a non-offensive, non-condescending or rude way.

There is nothing offensive about giving advice, it can only ever become offensive depending on how you tell them...such as if your condescending or rude, arrogant or impolite of which far too many people are those things when they think they are giving advice even though they don't realise it. A prime example of how not to do so is this thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-is-being-rude.

As a dps myself who just recently experienced some...let's say less-than-warm-and-nice-suggestions from certain players during t6 PUG I personally find these people the worst to deal with. Especially when they're so proud of their 1337 dps but still fail to rope jump on mechanics and thus wasting our time more than I can count.

I don't have any problem with being suggested to,being advised which skill to use or to get cross class skills to boost dps, those are valid advice and I intended to follow but this dude who basically say "roflmao n00bs only 1 class at 50 pls quit raid nao we die at raff 1% cuz u",and then turn a blind eye on himself and his baddies who got devoured and gave massive stacks to raff ? Yeah, it's the best kind of "raid elitist" example.

Its not so easy to tell other people that they need improve there dps and it's not only dps issue most problems is also Tank issues aswell.
Asking player war tank for exampel: please use flash, perhaps ur Steel Cyclone, and faceroll answer " i don't play paladin" telling us to use qualling strike but we barely use any skills at all.
ofcourse starting asking this player did you fate to much?

It's not always people like to take in help without they start rage on you tell how bad person you are blabla,
everyone has been there from start mashing buttons so its nothing new.

I've had to do this before, it was with a bad Dragoon in Stone Vigil. I broke it to him the best I could by asking, "Is it possible for you to use your DoTs more? They're about 25% of your DPS, and it'll help us get through this faster." He did it, but he never used Disembowel, so after a few mobs I added, "The DoT suggestion also includes Disembowel. It increases the damage of all your attacks by 10% when it hits, it'll help throw your DPS through the roof." He started doing that as well, and we burned through the rest of the dungeon.
