Yoshi & Team need to man any future FF Onlines

SE,

Please do not allow any other team to handle your FF Online games. Clearly they understand what the Final Fantasy series is.

They took a very bland/horrible game and made it into something memorable and are making it better by the month.

I am proudly a 3-Month in advance subscriber and will be for some time.

They take our petulance (even mine, look up my posts) and return it with meaningful gestures of change, other games are run by arrogant devs who care little about their players.

As soon as it's available to do so I will pre-purchase Heavensward direct from SE.

We're not going to be seeing another FF online for at least 10 years and if they do make another, then who will man this one? I do like what they have done with FFXIV though.

I greatly disagree with this post.

The game is bland, overly simplistic, has limited content at endgame which is not improving over time at this point, has limited jobs.

FFXIV 1.0 was a steaming pile of crap. Yes they made it acceptable but it is still a fragment of what other major themeparks mmos are and extremely linear and limited in all aspects of the game.

They have to improve this game 2-3 fold and add lasting content before they get a pass from me. Game went from a solid F score to a C-.

Lets hope this expansion adds alot of stuff to do in this game that last more then 6 weeks.

Lets see;
14 level cap Dungeons of varying difficulty.
14 Trials at level cap of varying difficulty.
2 level cap Entry Level Raids.
13 Turns of the "Hardest" content.
Also the Savage Coil, but i don't know how that works.

Oh yes, no endgame content at all. Just an fyi, 'Endgame' is not the sole domain of the top 1%ers on the bleeding edge of progression. Endgame refers to things for players to do once the Level Cap has been reached.
And once you reach the Level cap on one Job, you can level another, and that content becomes 'relevant' again.

You need to look at it from the perspective of a newer player, or someone who wasn't already job capped when 2.0 launched. Theres a plethora of things to do within XIV once you reach the 'Endgame'

out of pure curiosity have what you completed in this game? And what would you consider lasting Content?

Compared to other MMOs on the market, FFXIV is definitely a quality MMO. A statement I bet many people would have laughed at 2-3 years ago.

Yoshida and his team have done a phenomenal job with this game. I've played a lot of MMOs, most of them bored me. This did not bore me.

Knowing SE track record, if FFXIV stays this sucessful then we will probaly see Yoshi-P being the producer for the next FF online game. New FF online will probaly come after 10 years and by that time the question is, is Yoshi-P is still working for SE? Alot of things can happen in 10 years.

just out of curiosity, why are you still playing ? Really, no sarcasm intended but... your first adjective alone would make me stay away from any game.

Also, there are tons of things to do when you finish the storyline.

Crafting, gathering, raiding, dungeons, trials, FC thingies, socializing.... The game is way more than "cap for the week and kill T10-13", there is always something to do.

Also, please explain which "other major themeparks mmos" you are referring to. Because the oldies are... old, so yeah much more content available (even if every extension throws everything made before away), and the new wave was failing hard last time I heard of it. Wildstar ? The hype has fallen, noone ever talks about it. TESO ? same.
