Does anyone else have an issue in the new hildibrand questlines...?

Gilgamesh in the new hildibrand quests is invisible, and any scene with ultros in it, has a lot of missing sound effects. I was wondering if anyone else had these problems? Ekidnu isn't invisible by the way. Vanilla sound effects such as stepping are fine, but vanilla ability effects during the battle cutscene (IE: Circle of Scorn used by the female gladiator) has no sound effect. The final cutscene however in this new chapter has all sound effects.

No, my cutscenes for all those quests played properly for me. Is it an issue with your video card maybe? In any event, you should probably put in a technical report for this in case it happens again.

You might have run into something odd that happened to me yesterday. I don't know what triggered it, but sound effects became extremely dim when zoomed out. Had to zoom in really close to be able to hear anything. Logged off, then today when I got back online it was normal again. I also did those quests yesterday, so maybe there's something squirrelly going on?

No, my cutscenes for all those quests played properly for me. Is it an issue with your video card maybe? In any event, you should probably put in a technical report for this in case it happens again.

AMD Radeon HD cards are notorious for having bad compatibility unless AMD sponsers a game. The game didn't have these issues before, and sound isn't a GPU issue.

I used to have that issue, not very frequent but happened several times, restarting the client would fix it, my client would also freeze when I'd go to a crowded zone after being online for too long, enabling "Cache LOD data when necessary" in System > Graphics fixed both the crashes and bosses not loading properly, thought enabling this option can cause some side effects.

EDIT - Actually disregard anything I said, I didn't read the part where you said scenes with them, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of corrupted patch, just in case try rolling back your FFXIV folder and re-patching.

I used to have that problem too in patch 2.1, it was fixed later on. It would resolve itself after leaving it for a minute or so, but certain angles would still freeze it. Teleporting would also crash the game. These were fixed, but now are back for me.

I'm not that far into these quests yet, but I too have the feeling, that some of my skills don't have a sound anymore o.o'
But just when I tested again everything was fine...
