There's only so many heals and tanks to take on the herd of locusts that are millions of ninjas.
    LOL I know, right?
But that'll mean we'd had to wait twice as long for a class/job because every time a DPS is out, we need
and Tank or Heal to accompany.
Dark Knight probably isn't even made yet lol.
We need more damn tanks and heals before any thing else.
I guess this is a good time to level up my WHM...I'll get insta que's in no time

I don't see it as people being unwilling to help(though some would charge because they feel they are going out of the way). I see it more as, charging to get into a dungeon faster. Everyone can get in line and queue up in duty finder. As tanks that are willing to help queue up, the line moves. Those that don't want to wait in line, pay a tank to go straight to the front. It's like buying a vip pass at an amusement park so you don't have to wait in line for the rides.

You are using the need of someone else, thats not the same as agreeing with their free will.
While it is true that you are not holding the gun, you make use of their predicament.

Its like sending e-mail spam with telling them to pay money: someone is paying and you made profit...
why do you think this is rendered illegal in real life? snowball effect
Same as selling trash to old ladys: oh sorry they are paying me - its their free will to pay me!

    Edit:
Example: A static of 8 players where the 8th cant be online at that day - getting the 8th random and let him/her pay.
The random helps the static to even get into the dungeon, so it is a win-win for both, to add payment it means to exploit the situation!
You dont even give him/her any kind of service, you get paid for something you dont have to do anything...

Leveling ninja is not a need. It's a choice.

I need food to live. Shame on those greedy farmers and grocery stores to charge me for something I need!

If a price is offered to me, I'll take it. I joined a PF run yesterday offering 25k for anyone to help them queue faster. Me and my healer friend split the bounty. Wasn't a significant amount, but why should crafters be the only class earning money for what they do?

Do you give the same speech when you go buy meat at the butcher/grocery store and he charges you for it ?

    1. Would high level experienced tanks selling their services be spending the same amount of time running dungeon roulettes for free? The answer is no, so that means that if people are doing runs for money, those are runs that otherwise wouldn't have happened. You may have 1000 DPS waiting in queue for 100 tanks. If 10 more tanks do runs for gil, then now it is 1000-110 instead of 1000-100. That eases the queue on everyone who steps in line after the DPS who paid a tank instead of queuing. You may not like it, but the queues are better off for their involvement.

    2. There are a lot of bad arguments about how this is robbing people. It is not. People can use the DF for free. Tanks who want to roulette to help strangers or queue their friends can do so. Some tanks value their time and don't feel an obligation to endlessly run content low level content that is not sufficiently rewarding for a mob of entitled Ninjas.

I have a lvl 45 paladin and there are plenty of things I would rather do than ease the low level ninja queues. I don't sell my services, but I also don't go around running roulettes out of the kindness of my heart as people seem to be expecting tanks to do. I'll run stuff for my friends or FC mates, but if a stranger wants me to tank dungeons for them because the queues are ridiculous, they had better offer me something worth my time or I'll simply say no.

Does that mean you dont like to play?
If you just play for someone else you may consider doing something you can enjoy yourself...
If a stranger wants me to tank a content i like, so why not? Because i like the content every single minute doing it is fun!
