I'm tired of being Alph's errand boy running me all over the damn place, that much I agree with.

I personally don't mind it. It shows that our success is not only from doing all the epic shit, but from helping in comparatively mundane ways as well. Unless you role-play as something else, SE set it up to where we were the humble and helpful hero.

That said, I spend most of my time reading, and absolutely hate it when a hero in any story is just doing one bad-ass thing after another. Doesn't make them seem human. I think all the bitch work we do in the story gives a good balance.
Just my opinion of course, I understand a lot of people dislike it.

Still, Alphinaud has an entire organization at his hands by this point. And the Scions are doing...what exactly besides standing around in the Rising Stones all the time? The amount of "Run to this point, kill some trash, come back" quests is ridiculous this time around. I agree that if all we did was go around killing primals the player character wouldn't seem human, but the way everyone in the game treats you like you aren't human either by dumping everything on you (Though at least starting with 2.3 we started to get a "Thank you" and some minor acknowledgement, before we didn't even have that) is equally bad. That and with all the stuff going on with the Immortal Flames in this patch I was sort've disappointed that GC allegiances will probably never be brought up in the main story or serve as anything but "Which gear do you have access to".
