So, here in the lore forum, we like to talk about lore stuff (duh). I realize that, in coming here, we expect to see and hear lots of things about the story in order to fanboy and fangirl over our favorite MMO's story(-ies). And I also realize that this stuff is SUPER EXCITING to talk about (seriously, I was loregasming all over the place during the lore panel in Las Vegas), especially when new stuff comes out.

But....

Can we please use go back to using spoiler tags? Pretty please?

I personally haven't been able to delve into 2.4 main scenario stuff yet because the RL person I run the story with has been busy; I wanted to wait for her so we could do it together. Despite that, topics that have absolutely nothing to do with 2.4 (and I thought safe to traverse spoiler-free) have been peppered with it. I already know a good bit of the major plot points about Shiva and Iceheart and I haven't even talked to Minfilia yet. It's still new content (day 2 of the patch!), so we cannot expect everyone to have it completed already. This is why I make my request.

Now, I don't mean for basic stuff or for old content or for 1.0 story; that mess is fair game. But I mean for really new stuff or cutscenes that maybe not everyone has seen (such as the T9 win cutscene, etc.). It's just kind of defeating knowing what's going to happen and you haven't even seen the content yet, let alone cleared it. Makes that content seem a little less rewarding, yanno?

So can we do this please? If not for me then for anyone that happens to wander into the Lore Dept. looking for a loregasm of their own.

I feel your pain. I already know a fair bit about what's to come from the Second Coil of Bahamut, despite having not even started Turn 6.

But I don't think there is much we can actually do about it other than to avoid online forums for the first few days, if not weeks, after the release of a major patch.

The forum doesn't have a spoiler policy that I know of, so it's really down to individual initiative. And even then, excitement can easily get the better of us, and we accidentally drop spoilers as a result.

In other words, I think most of us do try to keep spoilers out of the lore threads, but we're only human. Accidents will occur, and there is only so much any of us can do.

I feel your pain. I avoided the lore forums till I finished the storyline just for that reason. As for coil spoilers.... Frankly, I'm not going to get through t5 let alone second coil, so I font mind them.

I do hate spoilers and I can see where you're coming from, but lore is almost a synonym for story. It's probably best to avoid the lore forums if you don't want to see info about the story, particularly right after a patch when we're all excited to discuss new revelations.
