Zero cost way from the residential distinct to the capital city

Main Aetheryte in Limsa doesn't shuw in menu line "residential distinct". In Gridania (FC house) - shows.
Officer near docks in Mist says "out of service now"

Not that I've actually had time to check this myself, but are you in the subdivision? Maybe it's not active in the subdivision map, which would be incredibly irritating.

You've done the quest to access Mist through the gates, right? I know it sounds like a stupid question, and your FC house isn't there, but there are alternate means into Mist. I entered there from teleportation and never gave a thought about the quest until I found it much later. I never entered Mist from the gate or Limsa before then.

Sorry, I'm just trying to brainstorm anything I can think of.

If you haven't done the quest to 'learn' about the housing district, you can't get a shortcut to and from the Residential District. I found this before the patch hit when I was getting ready to log out in The Goblet so I could get a house before they were all bought up.

I tried both places. In subdivision thete is no officer. Question to all who said that it's possible - your GC is Malestorm?
