Do we really need Flying Mount in this game?

People are lazy, they do not want to have to actually travel anywhere with any degree of difficulty. If the game had a button they could press that would instantly teleport them to any mission location with zero travel they would O in glee. Idiocracy is not a movie, it is a prophecy.

Agree, If they can do this and not make it so you can fly to every area in the expansion, I'm all for flying mounts too.

It's my understanding that the flying mounts will only be useable in the Floating Continents area. This will only be a fraction of the game. They've talked about this long ago in the past, how they didn't want to add flying mounts to the whole game because it would take away from the world. So I think they're going about it the right way. The difference between WoW and FFXIV flying mounts is that SE is creating the content specifically FOR flying mounts. Blizzard just kept adding the same type of zones - never understood why they didn't really utilize the ability to fly upwards.

Well you're quite the spiteful, low blow throwing individual.
Just wanted to say that if they cared that much about flying mounts helping individuals level faster they might want to take a look at the instant level 90 potion they sell. I would think they should be more concerned with that making content skip able over flying mounts.
Or is it ok for you to skip content as long as they make more money as you do so?

I'm not sure if Flying Mount is a good ideas in this game. Blizzard regret it when they put it in the game. It allow players to skip everything and fly through the contents in seconds. It also make the world feel very empty and less interactive.

Yes we need flying mounts, new world with possibly less aetherytes and fly travel sound crazy nice.... all you described there is already the case in eorzea, there is no need to walk with all of those aetherytes around...... soooooooooo it won't make the game suffer, or anything, that's just a big bonus.

On a side note, could people complain less or stop starting useless dicuss thread? the man or woman replied to his own questions in the very first 2 lines X.X

Do you read? They said there won't be any flying in old areas and in new areas only. You need to be able to fly to get to the area planned in the expansion as it's sky related. I do agree there is no need to fly in the current content with quick traveling as it is, but there will be need to fly in the new areas. Please look forward to it.
