the post is a joke but the complains are somewhat real.

That's the joke. People get riled up by some change or addition, and overblow it, and eventually it just becomes normal.

I'm avoiding the rest of your post because, as one of those "noobs," it's a sensitive subject. I may add in a bit regarding currency changes though.

Don't Know where you got your information from but 1.0 never went offline completely Hence why there is such thing called Legacy Members those of us who stayed playing up to the 2.0 release and most of which are still playing the game now. If you are going to start a thread like this then please make sure that your information is correct before posting this long winded report of which 90% of it is wrong. Seeing as you did not start until long after 2.0 came online not surprised you have no idea what a legacy player is. And where did you get cash shop from? The cash shop is to buy collectible items that you cannot use in game. Except for maybe minions or mounts which in no way shape or form gives you a leading edge over any of the other players or content.

Let me rephrase my start.

I did not play ARR until around 2.2. I was in the very first closed alpha, and played during 1.2. If you would like proof of this claim, check my character page and ask yourself this: How does this person have both a legacy chocobo and the legacy gobbue? If you need more proof, message me in-game on Cactuar. If I'm not busy, I will come to you and show you my legacy tattoo.

Now, you are misinformed because the servers WERE taken offline entirely between the dates of November 11, 2012 and August 27, 2013 to allow them to properly convert legacy character info to their ARR system. You may be including the alpha and beta of ARR as servers being online, which started on October 29, 2012, just before servers were taken down, but I do not because it was an unfinished product. How we each see it is a matter of opinion, and I do not see alphas and betas being official online times.

And the ability to become a legacy player ended June 30, 2012. You were siimply to have paid for 90 days of subscription.

So who doesn't know what a legacy player is?

You may not realize this, as I said it earlier in the thread. This is all joking about how much people take the smallest of change and overblow it as something that will kill the game. There are basis for each comment (humorously, when you said my problem with the 2.0 one, I assumed you were going to say that no one thought ARR was pointless, not your info that's more incorrect than mine. I have previously stated that people saying 2.0 wouldn't fix the game WAS an embellishment.), and it all is played up.

And my "misinformation" on the cash shop? Once again, I took the incredibly heavy drama that people had for several days after it was announced, and converted it into making fun of them.
