Noticed this a lot too on MB. It punishes crafters even more because then yu are likely to get pseudo-harrassed since your name is on the item/s being sold. That's being a little panicky, but I don't understand why this wasn't made commensurate with FC crests being able to be applied to gear, please keep player anonymity a thing. Majority of players don't post screenshots without masking identities, and I think this falls in that category too.

Most games show your actual character name when you sell something in an auction house. If somebody harasses you, blacklist and report them - but I don't think anyone will do that.
Sometimes the names disappearing seems to be a bug of sorts. I have stuff in my retainer crafted by a friend of mine, and recently the name seemingly disappeared - but the next day, the name was there again.
