It means that the use of three nodes of either gather class that would reset the first node no longer is possible. Now you have to do three mining nodes, three botany nodes, or three fishing nodes for the first to reset respectively.

Ugh, this is absolutely horrible. One of the only ways to make gather grinding bearable was to mix in a node from another class so you didn't have to travel a mile between nodes. So in exchange for our SP buff we now get to play "Running Around Mindlessy: The Game". Thanks, SE, really, what an awesome fix. The DoH/DoW/DoM SP buffs didn't come with any kind of "catch", so why this? I know this sounds overly snarky but combined with them dropping more aggro mobs right on top of our nodes, even for leves, it seems like nobody at SE even plays a DoL class.
This is of course very irritating when your main focus is SP skillup and you havent got the locate ability yet. Still, with some memorizing it isn't that bad actually.
But atm the major problem imo is also the fact that you cannot reach many of the mining and botany nodes (lest complete field leves) at Treespeak, Iron Lake, and Halatali. There are packs of aggro mobs around many of the nodes that were introduced in patch 1.18. Big big slap in the face to peaceful gatherers...

Actually they did. In Grid, for example, I now have to run/port myself to every end of the shroud in order to get my DoH sp from leves.
The DoW can no longer fail the same set of leves endlessly if they want their sp.
The catches are there.
Still feel for the Grade 5 DoL's that are largely locked out of their nodes by hordes of mobs with no acceptable way of dealing with it though.
