This step is to obtain the <Relic Weapon> Unobtainius.
It will require a total of 70 melds onto an Unobtainius scroll for your weapon, with success rates reducing by 10% for each tier (up to 30 can be used for one catagory, ten per grade within that catagory).

Using Battlecraft will give randomly give you one of the secondary stats (Crit, Det, Skill speed, Spell Spell, Accuracy, Piety and parry, Fieldcraft will randomly give you one of the gathering/crafting stats (Gathering, perception, control, craftsmanship, CP and GP). Clear Demimateria will increase it's vendor value. Mastercraft will void your Unobtainius scroll because it now gets confiscated to the Artisan Guild of the Flaming Fish and you will have to restart the process over.

You also cannot undo the stats on your Unobtainius scroll; you'd have to start the process over from the beginning, but only after you have supplied Douchebag scholar with another set of Vastly Superior Enchanted Ink.

Personally I see 2 upsides to this:
1) Raubahn is pushed to the point of rounding up the monetarists and serving up some well deserved capital punishment, cleaning up Ul'dah
2) 1 less Lalafell

Every piece of gear has a mandatory slot for skill/spell speed, and only one other secondary stat.

In lieu of trash mobs, Final Coil will now incorporate jumping puzzles like those in the sightseeing log. Your encounter timer will now be spent just trying to get 8 people to the bosses.
