Oh god please no. Macros for important notifications is fine, but the players who /p [insert obnoxious text] with every ability as if we're watching a DragonBall Z episode make me want to shoot myself.

When I started 2.0 Bard, I had 3 macros - 2 putting bloodletter and misery's end in front of Straight and Heavy Shots, and one with all the buffs in one macro. After a while I dropped the bloodletter from the macro to get used to triggering it manually when it procced but kept misery's cause it only affected the last 20%. After reading threads on here and reddit about the effect of macros substantially lowering DPS due to reduced efficency of GCD, I dropped the 2 macros altogether. I then rearranged by hotbars (controller user) and set my buffs separately as well. Since then my DPS has improved SO much and I can respond to changes in battle phase much better.
Basically those macros were like training wheels. When you know how to ride, you remove them. The two you use are so enormously inefficent, I can't even ....
that's too many more buttons to map if u don't macro the attacks. keep it simple and use macros so that u only attack with 3 sets of 1-4 buttons
