Theres not enough macro space to play Ninja.

I will just try to memorise all the combos and input them manually every time. I come from fighting games where you have loads of combo moves and pressing buttons in the order 1-1-2 does something different than 1-2-1. If I understand correctly, that's pretty much how ninja magic works here.

Ninjutsu combinations are extremely simple because for the 2-part and 3-parts, it only matters what you ended with. The beginning 1/2 for 2/3-chain don't matter as long as they are different. 123 and 213 give the same thing.

Or to put it more simply, there are only 6 combinations (not counting the 1-part Shuriken), 1 is not worth remembering (Hyoton, lolbind), 3 are for single-target (Huton Suiton Raiton), and 2 (Doton/Katon) are situational for AoE. You don't really need to memorize all of them.

Assassinate/Mercy stroke has to macro'd to every attack AND most cooldowns also macro into attack buttons, otherwise theres just too many buttons. 12 is the most ill ever button.

And since its a melee class I will want to macro Target Enemy to most of the attacks.

No and its not only my problem. IM sure there are others out there without enough macro space to play ninja.

I suggest you open notepad and copy some job's macros you dont use often to notepad. Now you have room for Ninja macros. When expansion comes out and they release more macro slots (maybe) then you can put them back in.

The only macros i use for job skill are for me healers, and also PLD "Cover" on the whm skill.

They can probably add a second page that you click over to but it all comes down to resources. A change like that might only happen at the expansion when we gain more jobs to play and more levels.
