I have come back to Eorzea, and with a dream!

My fellow Eorzeans! After a few months of taking time off, I have returned.. I found myself unhappy with where things stood in my bubble of the community, and I stepped away to find out why... and how to fix it.

After thinking about this, and bouncing back to Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, and Elder Scrolls Online, I found out Eorzea is my home.. and I can't turn my back on it.. especially after I said if they bring out Dark Knights they would have my by the seat of my pants.. and as per the details in London, it has come to pass, this means I am here, and I am here to stay!

As for why I left... I was unhappy with the company I was with, and how they did things. There was a married couple for the leadership, the wife of course wore the pants, and it was very... "Everyone just did what the leaders said" kind of place.. Talking was rare, and doing things together was like finding a Legendary item.. They made us farm ore "for the guild", and tend to the garden daily.. at this point I felt like a slave, because if you didn't do it, you wouldn't get to go on raids, or partake in any activities. That's not the kind of group I want to be with. The dream I have is for a group of small but big thinking people. I want to find people like me to hang out with. I want to be in a company dedicated to actually Roleplaying out our characters as we adventure together, go into dungeons together, raid together, and fight on the frontline together.

This game has so much to offer for those that want to do a RP like things, I want to use them, and the people around me to use them too. After a long dungeon, we all retire to the hotsprings for a relaxing time to chat about what went wrong, what could had went better.. perhaps someone puts on their chef outfit, and cooks up something good while we do! I want to create fun memories of playing in Eorzea... not worry about the ilvl, or numbers number numbers... I want to have fun. I want to have fun with other people who want to have fun too! Once I have my dream free company, I want to stream and record our adventures so others can watch us have fun, and possibly join in. I know this isn't something I'll be able to find easily.. it takes certain people to do this. I have played D&D for years and I have a hard time finding real players for games. Final Fantasy XIV is a perfect environment for my dream, and I want to see it happen..

If this is the kind of dream you've had, where you can laugh, and have fun.. not worrying about how much you've farmed, or grinded, or if you'll get that piece of gear, those things all come in due time... this is a MMORPG, there is no need to worry about time because the game doesn't end! Take it at our own pace, and enjoy what the developers at Square have put out on a table for us to enjoy.. I see a beautiful banquet in front of me, and I want to sit and enjoy every bit of it... I don't want to swallow it all down and never get to really taste it. If you are the type that wants to eat with me, then say something.. I am completely open to transferring worlds to find the people I want in this kind of environment.

That's the kind of Free company/guild I don't join. I just leave those and find one what doesn't care if you want to do content or not. So I started to make my own. Looking for people to join a free company on my server is rough though since its a legacy server and many people who do endgame stick with their little niche group and don't care about others.

What kind of company didn't you join, and what do you mean "doesn't care if you want to do content or not"?

The kind of experience you dream about is pretty much the kind of guilds that I used to create and surround myself around in previous mmos I've played. I'm actually very against elitism and profound niches/statics that dont interact outside of said circles in free companies. I have yet to really find my place in ffxiv. I've been server hopping for some time, though I've managed to find 2-3 cool people on Excalibur server. I don't have my own free company - I joined a friends FC, but I'm not sure if it's something I'd call "home." While It'd be nice to have a whole FC to call home, i'd be perfectly fine chillin with people from other FC's in this manner. I've always been about the experience, rather than the outcome. While it would be nice to play with elite players to get through content and obtain powerful gear ASAP, I would actually prefer to struggle together, laugh, and have a good time fooling around even. The other day, I got into duty finder with some random people who wanted to run around the dungeon completely nakid - and boy it was fun! We completed the dungeon with no problems and it was a refreshing, light hearted experience - despite doing something i've done over and over again.

If you are ever on the Excalibur server, you have a like minded individual who would love to be friends.
