You can use lancer and pugilist cross-class skills, with rogue. so you might want to lv pgl to 15 for ninja, and also internal release (crit buff) at lv 12. And mantra at lv 42 (not really needed, but should be nice with Mug, to get more hp)
for lancer, you might want to lv it to 22, for invigorate, and lv32 to get blood for blood.

Mug heals for 50% of the damage, mantra wouldn't have any effect.

I believe as it has been stated and repeated without comprehension, Rogue is available to anyone with any level 10 job, Ninja I believe will not have a job combo requirement as rogue and ninja are designed as transitions to a new job system in 3.0 their workings will be completely different. If you are worried though it's too late now but if you are worried about prereqs for ninja I guess you could level Pugilist for a few of it's survivability traits, Marauder, Lancer, and Archer for ninja since it is so focused on ranged abilities.

you didn't read this thread, or the patch notes, did you?
it's nice of you to post speculation, as facts.
duno what drugs you are on Ninja cant use archer skills, and even if they could, you'd use them in melee (venom bite for LNC, has 4m range)...and nin isn't *so focused on ranged* it's a melee job; it's like saying DRG is focused on ranged, cause of jumps/talon/doom spike.
it would be stupid to develop rog/nin, if they planned to redesign them completely 6 months from now...so i'm not sure why ppl are expecting a complete overhaul of class/job system.

I'm interested to find out how they're handling the Rogue -> Ninja. Unlike every other Class/Job, even SCH/SMN, No other Class has changed its combat stance when going from Class to Job.
Now of course, i may have simply not understood wat i saw on the trailers of Rogue and Ninja animations, But Rogue looked completely different in weapon ready and running animations compared to Ninja.
