Cash Shop minions not exclusive?

...as someone who was at the Vegas Fan Fest and watched the entirety of the EU Fan Fest. How in the world did people jump to that conclusion? Even through language barrier and a translator I didn't get that from Yoshi. There will be minions in the cash shop that are exclusive to it (just as there is now), and there will be many more minions added to the game directly and receivable via methods of various tasks, like it is now. What was said is that they aren't going to just put things in to the cash shop for the sake of it <paraphrased>.

...because in the thread about announcements from the other fanfest, it was said,

"Future minions will not be exclusively available through the Cash Shop only."

That's why.

I don't know if that's an exact quote from Yoshi, but if it is, it is extremely easy to interpret both ways.

So yeah, they should be careful about making these things clearer when feelings are running so high.

1. Minions in the cash shop will only be available from the cash shop, and never obtainable by playing.
2. They will continue to make minions that are available to get by playing, but they will not be sold in the cash shop.
3. Old minions already obtainable in the game will not be sold in the cash shop.

That's exactly how I took it.

Either way, people will find something to complain about, pick at, wish for, over/under-estimate, set high/low hopes for, nitpick, read in between the lines, and even just grasp at straws. No matter how much speculation we come up with until we see it implemented you'll hear every side, roumour, and whisper about "he said, she said". Personally, I think we should "please, look forward to it".

You can only obtain the minions on the cash shop by purchasing them on the cash shop, but there will still be new minions to be released to obtain through the game.

Not sure how I feel about this... what makes the Baby Opo-Opo, Nutkin, Bluebird, Pillow, Broom, and Goblin really special is because they are hard to get.
If say all those are in the future available on the cash shop you might as well throw the rare drop down the tube.

Lots of people spent lots of gil, time, or mixture getting the rare minions/mounts. I hope the cash shop doesn't just make it a quick avenue to get same rare ones.

The only minions I can see them selling in the CS from the game are minions from previous events that are no longer obtainable. And I kinda doubt they'll do that even.

According to the EU live stream, they will use the cash shop to make more minions, etc. Basically, future minions will not be exclusively thrown to the cash shop, you will be able to get them in-game somehow. I'm think if it is a holiday event minion, and if you miss the opportunity to get the minion during the event, you'll unfortunately have to resort to the cash shop to get so on so minion.

They will undoubtedly expand their cash shop... no doubt in that, though.

Oh not you directly, just a lot of the folks on these forums that blow up over the small things. Anytime something new or something changes it's a flood of repeat topics all over the first couple of pages, ie entertainment.
