Nobody did Moggle Mog for his choker and nobody did Ramuh for his rings before they upgraded them, at least not people who raided (Compare the number of Leviathan EX farm groups on that patch's release to Moggle Mog EX farm groups, there were barely any of the latter). I guess that's basically what it comes down to, Coil is the only content that people who raid are ever going to have that is worth it for them and everything else is just going to be dead on arrival. I think that's what upsets me the most about this, that I was looking forward to this fight to provide an alternative to farming T9 once the lock came off but now it's just like why bother the drops are going to be outclassed on release.

People seem to be under the mistaken impression that this is about my desire for gear. It's not. It's about the community's desire to even bother with 80% of the content that gets put into each patch.

This just feels like Ramuh EX all over again. The Poetics bracelets will be i120 as well and upgradeable with materials from the Final Coil and possibly with CT3 in 2.5. Combine that with i110 weapons, who everyone and their mother will have with Soldiery being uncapped and unlimited UATs from Second Coil and ST, and I have a feeling no one will be doing Shiva EX two weeks after 2.4 hits. They should have at least been i115 for people who don't have a Nexus relic and people not even close to downing T9.

It'll be good for a while then gets phased out by easier to obtain stuff with the same iLevel.

Shiva's drops very nice for groups like mine who haven't cleared Second Coil but have access to Shiva EX. We have a bunch of people that still need weapons for alts that are better than Levi weapons and 120 accessories are better than 110. Moogle necklaces were a nice way to free up not having to spend soldiery on that slot and it's the same case here. A week of stones you can save on a slot means you can work on alt gear much faster.

I did Mog a lot to get full set of neck pieces when it was out. Although it only took me a week of doing it to get them all.
