What can they do to fix these absolutely abhorrent excuses of DF times?

I made a rant a few months ago about this, but they either NEED TO INCREASE PVP EXP, or completely remove the stupid alliance shit. I'm 23, and I'm NOT GOING to suffer through these piteous waits + EXP gains again. It'll take SEVEN more frontlines matches to reach 24.

Think about that. 7 of them. Am I to wait upwards of 7 hours for 24? They must fix one or the other. Don't comment about how you had to do it too. Saying that you suffered through it doesn't make it more reasonable.

Looking at your data center, it looks like we're both on Aether. It also looks like you're on flames based on your signature.

I'm adders on Aether, and I know some storm and flames, and the general consensus I've found is that Adders/Flames have similar queue times of 5-15 minutes during prime time (6 PM - 11 PM EST, weekdays, noon-midnight on weekends) while storm have slightly higher queue times (10-20 mins) but still not bad.

92 minute queue time definitely makes me think something's wrong... Even during non-primetime 92 minutes as a flames is ridiculous.

My guess is that you are queueing for all available languages, and I have a theory regarding this which has proven true in my testing. I've found that when you queue for languages other than English, it puts you in a separate queue for one of those languages and then you sit there forever until that language has enough people to enter the duty.

English is BY FAR the most popular language on our data center, so if it matches you to something like German, you will likely be in that queue forever with something like frontlines. It needs to find 71 other people who also clicked "German", which during non-prime times just isn't going to happen.

Let me know if this is what's going on and if that helps! As a flames, I'd love for you to queue more so my queues go more quickly (I think flames might be the GC with the lowest population on our data center), so I'm rooting for you here!

I am Flames and I did queue for all languages haha... was hoping that'll broaden my data search. I'll revert it to English. I also queued Join in Progress, but that doesn't work either.
Do healers get infaster? Honestly though, if I get queued in as a WHM, I'd switch to SMN or BLM instead when I get in lol

Awesome queueing only english should definitely help! I've found that class doesn't make much of a difference, but definitely try queueing as a WHM instead! The Join in progress won't hurt at all and may help give you some insta-pops so definitely keep that clicked. Hope that helps!!!

Choosen class doesnt affect wait times. But most of the time you have better chances for a win if you play whitemage, because most groups only play with one or no healer and that likes to lead to a loose.

I think your onto something. I went back to English only and rechecked "Join in progress" and suddenly my que times went down quite abit.

If you pass 30 mins ditch and reque. The system is broken and no one will ask or answer why it is.Heaven forbid we get in faster. People can que in and get right into matches while some of us have been in que. There is some theory that the system has a rank balance like wolves den.

I am also on aether and checking all grand companies there will be a window when you can que instantly. But after that there is alot of 20 mins adders flames and maelstrom.
