Loyalty System for cash shop

not sure if it has been brought up but Star Wars The Old Republic does this. You get whats called "cartel coins" every single month for having your subscription (you dont get any if you are f2p of course :P) and you can also buy more cartel coins at your leisure. Pretty sure this is exactly what OP is looking for. Can not be used anywhere else except in the shop, cant be traded or sold.

As long as SE puts in some sorta currency instead of just only using flat out cash then this will be easily implemented.

What content is being locked behind the cash shop? Because vanity, pets and mounts really aren't content. And as far as people saying they didn't get a vote, in its implementation, it's SE's mmo.. technically, they can do whatever they please, without needing permission from us.

Maybe not to you. But considering that a large portion of crafter "end game" is vanity gear (spring dress/skirt, glasses, swim suits -- yes, desynthing counts as part of the crafter experience, possibly gatherer as well), it does raise questions regarding what will happen to their end game if the cash shop starts taking pieces of the gear they'd normally be producing. I know several people who have one or two combat classes at 50, but prefer to spend their game time with their eight DoH 50s, crafting things and either using the items themselves, giving them to friends (or selling at discount/mat price), or putting up on the marketboard for other players.

There are people who don't log in with Progression foremost in their mind. There are even those who wouldn't care less if they had an option to unlock an extra Final Coil run for the current week... for a price, because that's not content they're interested in. Just as vanity is content you're not as interested in. Just as that extra coil run would count as P2W for some, those exclusive vanity items count as P2W for others.

Not too long ago, during the Rising event, I picked up my wind-up Minfilia and wind-up Thancred. I thought they were really neat, and looked forward to collecting the rest of the Scions set during future events.

Now I've learned that this is not going to happen. Y'shtola, Papalymo, and Yda are not (presumably) going to be obtainable through events. Instead, I'll need to plunk down ten bucks for 'em. I can afford it, sure - but it irritates me how cynically calculating this was: your first hit is free, but if you wanna catch 'em all you're gonna have to pay!

I dunno yet whether my mild OCD is going to compel me to pony up, but if I do I'll have to worry about one additional concern: Do I dare actually show the things off in-game? Whether you agree that it's justified or not, it's clear that a lot of folks are upset about the cash shop. These folks are not likely to react kindly to folks showing off their purchases in-game, and there's no guarantee that these aren't folks I'll want to be cooperating with in the future.

I guess my question is what happened to Veteran rewards? Are we just going to get credit to buy things from the cash shop?

There was a vote, it was called fantasias and extra retainers. The cash shop only exists because of demand. Only a handful of people will unsub due to the cash shop, if any at all.

I personally don't have a problem with it, as long as it's just cosmetic. This is just my opinion, and I'm sure I'm about to get castrated for it.
