Not really. With the average of one Shriek per person Monk should still win in T7 assuming Summoner's dots + pets keep on rolling while everyone stops DPS and Monk continues to do enough GCDs to simply keep up his GL.
I disagree completely, if anything I would ask for DRG AOE to be increased and BLM left alone.
My reason being BLMs and DRGs (afaik correct if wrong) cant compete vs SMN/MNK in single target dps, there is no reason BLM should have the main thing it is good at nerfed.
MNK always being the highest single target job is just as boring for everyone else as BLM always being the highest AoE job, two sides of the same problem. Though the difference between BLM and MNK single target damage potential is much much smaller than the absurd difference in their AoE potential.
I do agree that each class/job should not be identical in what they can do, that would be boring too. But a good MNK/DRG/BRD/SMN should be allowed to reach at least 70-80% of the AoE damage potential of a BLM.

Actually DRG/BRD/SMN can do some decent AoE if the players know what they are doing.
But I fail to understand why you guys focus on AoE so much - allmost all trials/boss encounters require heavy single target dps.
And if you have to do two trash pulls instead of one doesn't have that much impact on your time in the dungeon.
If there is one thing i would like to see addressed its the high TP costs on AOEs for physical DPS. I dont mind the dps difference so much but the reason i play BLM in dungeons is really the unlimited MP pool. Even summoner has no issues maintaining AOE dmg for many pulls but with DRG/BRD and to a lesser degree MNK you will run dry quickly (counting in invigorate too).
Seriously no. BLM has already been nerfed to the ground from 1.0 to now. Anymore and it'll be no longer wanted for any content...
Agreed 100%, what's up with the absurd resource costs on AoE moves? Melee really needs some ways to actively regen their TP, without having to pray for a BRD song to be available for us. Invigeroate only barely cover our single target sustain. No. MNK/DRG have single target, BLM has AoE, BRD has support. The classes are balanced just fine.
