Vespar, in an interview (that happened at the end of fan fest) Yoshi said that the ceremonies won't be hold by GMs so technically, all you'll have to do is get yourself a timeslot (not that it'll be easy tho x3) ceremonies are reset every week, so it won't take ages to get one really, that is if you can make your reservation before the hound of hyena that camped on the lodestone for the very same reason

Good to know we don't have to wait for GM's to do this, I assumed it would be similar to FFXI's considering how similar he made it sound on the live letter. On the other hand you hit the nail on the head, it's going to be hell trying to get a time slot that works for you if you want to "bond". I still don't see why this couldn't have been entirely handled in-game. So, If the GM's aren't actually doing the ceremony, why does it need to be "scheduled" through the lodestone.

I support the current cash shop which sells some minions, mounts and fluff. But I hate your idea so much that if I could downvote it, I'd do so a million times.

Even though I do support the current cash shop, I'd rather it remain minimal as it is. Let's not put more stuff in it. And I hope SE keeps their promise of keeping the cash shop just for a few vanity fluff.

From the way they explained it and I understand it. You, your bondmate and your invitees will be whisked away into an instance. And since I assume they aren't making it a smallish instance I assume it's so that there won't be multiple such instances at the same time(I'm guessing there might be a limit on how many players can be invited but that's a detail I haven't noticed yet). So if anything it's a technical limitation than anything else.

I'm also thinking that the venues might be zones that are loaded just for that instance(sorta similar to the chimera one).

GE:You spoke briefly about the reservation system for the Eternal Bond ceremony. Will there be a faster system for people who don’t want a full ceremony? How will the system work?

Y: There will not be a faster system to avoid the reservation system, but the ceremony will not require GM support like what was needed in Final Fantasy XI. There will be a 2 hour window for each ceremony, which can be reserved by both players a week in advance. When the time comes,the people who received an invite will be taken to a waiting area, and the bride and groom will be taken to separate waiting areas where they can choose their costume, coloring and hairstyle. Then when both players accept then the ceremony starts. It is built to take promptly 2 hours. Once you have reserved the slot it is yours. The ceremonies are scheduled one week in advance, and they are planning on doing a weekly reset. It is reserved by talking to an NPC when the slots are opened up.

Y: No, but you will need to craft a ring, so there could be market costs associated with that. Free Companies might make the rings as a wedding gift for example.

Yeah I swore I heard that. Ya its @ 4hr 26min 30secs roughly on the premium live stream video. Very convoluted process and its going to be extremely annoying to get a time slot considering how many players there are who probably want to use this system. It's not like we are doing ACTUAL marriages lol

I'm not much of a role player, but making it feel like a real marriage makes it all that much more special.
