Like my ending said, not every system works for everyone. If you believe in something, you have every right to fight it. You're not out there screaming up and down that this is the end and that you're quitting. My post was inspired by the fanaticals out there, like people who probably screamed "glamour is the end of this game because I can't instantly see the quality of gear someone is wearing!"

As for complaining about, "This could have been a free addition to the game." Well, tough (god forbid they try to make extra money). This is how the gaming industry is, now. They can't have a successful Cash Shop if they don't have SOME exclusivity. I mean, for their GRAND opening, they're having what, 4 exclusive items? Let's put this in perspective.

Yoshi-P said they'd add things like that only on major occasions. 2.4/Grand-Opening is one. 3.0 would be the next. Another Fan Fest during 3.0 somewhere (one more), etc etc. Again, put in perspective, you're sad that out of the massive amount of freebies you get for consecutive months, as well as things obtainable in-game, 5-10 items per expansion (5-ish patches) is somehow unfair to be exclusive?

Also, TC forgot the desynthesis rage which forced ppl to overmeld and break lv90 crafted items to reach max desynth level.
Desynthesis is the most RNG heavy thing in the whole game if you want mastercraft demimaterias (yes it's worse than atma at higher levels) .
You also have to craft 10 HQ 3-star crafted items to trade for some ugly glasses and break them. There's like 10% chance you will get 1 mastercraft demimateria, assuming you didn't botch the desynth. (which will happen unless you already desynted over 50 level 90 overmelded crafted items)
And you need at least 3 Mastercraft demimaterias and 10 Fieldcraft III Demimaterias to get ONE gatherer or crafter tool.... which is only item lv75 (previous one was item level 70).
You will pull all your hair off if you want the 11 gatherer/crafter lv75 tools. I wonder if anyone achieved this before Square Enix shutted of all servers since it was no longer profitable.

The funny thing is, I just did a Google search for it to find out what was wrong. Without scrolling, I see Nael Van Gaius and Nael Deus Darnus. I changed it to Deus before I saw the second. Which is correct?

I'll look into that drama, I assume that was on the crafting forum? I tend to just look at this one.
