This thread really services no purpose beyond letting people vent. The only thing that will sway SE on optional service like this is your dollar. If you don't like it then don't buy, if you do then spend your money. If the general concensus is no ones buying then and only then SE will shift its view.

Sadly a very possible scenario with stuff not selling is the cash shop will keep getting promoted more and more until it ends up being included in the client itself, maybe even with pop up ads on log in. Another possible scenario could be more and more items getting moved to the shop, for example only endgame gear itself might be obtainable in game while all vanity stuff like pajamas, glasses and dresses will be all cash shop only. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't have qualms about that but it would also be a major shift in what has been featured in patches so far.

We can only hope it gets handled better but seeing how features are already being removed from the game and put on the shop (old event vendor NPCs' merchandise), there's not a lot of hope there.

Definitely agree this is a great place to vent! That's kind of what forums are for though right? Lol I can't agree that this won't do anything, b/c petitions and grievances have been put on these forums before and caused real change. Take a gander at the housing prices. Originally, the prices were set to fall at a specific value. However, once the community saw these values were too high, the dev team graciously lowered them further.

The last thing I want is to not giving this development team credit. Yoshi and his crew have been extremely generous. Despite my issue with this decision and future fears, I will stand by how attentive this team has been to their players and fans.

Speaking with money is a great way to show SE what we dislike, but it isn't the most accurate. It's already been proven that F2P games are supported by a very wealthy and narrow few. Though it may keep the company afloat, this certainly doesn't represent the majority. ^^

Very true that a small portion of players may be willing to pony up alot that it may feel that it will invalidate the majority's view. The reason I brought up that venting wont matter only dollars will is because it is very unlikely that the decision to add cash shop was Yoshi or the dev teams idea. SE as a company has seen alot of changes in management and its views towards moble games and microtransactions. The guys that make decisions over things like investors and revenue streams don't care what anyone thinks until it means they are unwilling to spend money.
I don't support the idea of a cash shop I just don't think petitions and threads will reach the people that make the decisions on such things.
