I just hope the next fan fest is close to New York City.

Don't think this would be necessary, though if you want to have pre-saved data, could always carry a USB flashdrive around with stored settings to import to the game. Though that might cause a security concern, with putting USB drives on their PCs and all.
I honestly think there shoulda been more stations, and overall, bigger area for those challenges to alleviate the line issue. I was not able to attempt anything but Odin and Frontlines because of the time-sink that was the merch line, and going for food and attending the panels and all that.

I would suggest San Francisco. Nice convention center, lots of public transit and hotels.
I can not stress this enough; NOBODY was expecting the expansion announcement to happen outside of JP; NOBODY.
Knowing that, tons of people flooded Vegas just to meet the awesome people who saved our home and all the friends we met there. THAT is what we care about.
Announce whatever you want; we just want a chance to feel like we matter for a day when Gondai, Koji or Yoshi sign our games or take pics with us. We just want to enjoy the community as much as possible. I already miss my new friends; I left Excalibur to join a new family; tons of us did.
Please make this a yearly thing. <3
I would like if it was in Vegas again as there lots to do there besides the Fan Fest and its usually pretty cheap to fly to but I can see why people would want it to move around a bit and go to other cities. New York, LA and Chicago stand out as the big 3 in east, west, central US however they might be to big and pose other issues for people such as the aforementioned safety or NY/Chicago weather. In the end can't make everyone happy no matter where in the US, Vegas does have certain appeal not to mention I'm sure where the Dev team where would like to visit personally might sway them a little lol.
I think almost everyone would love this to be a yearly thing but it would be understandable if its every 2 years or so given the logistics of having to move everyone/thing plus the potential that China and South Korea will want events as well. While the energy and excitement for expansion was explosive, peoples main motivations for going where meeting each other and the Dev team. Well those and the challenge T-shirts people go crazy for those~

well yoshi stated he plans on having it every couple of years "As for how often, this event we were able to announce the new Heavensward expansion, and if we did this every year people might expect an expansion announcement every time, so once per year may not be the optimal timing, so maybe every couple of years? That might be a good ballpark range." http://gamerescape.com/2014/10/21/fa...naoki-yoshida/
I'd like to throw in Dallas as a possible future FanFest Location. Also, the lines were baaaaaaaaaaaaaad.
