Fan Fest Should Happen Annualy

Is everyone forgetting... FFXI had an annual fan fest. Not that I'm comparing XI to XIV as a game, but it was still ONE game and they didn't release expansions every year, either. So, there would be enough content to make it fun and unique each year. I agree with the people saying that the fan fest is mostly about just getting together with the community. With the exception of beating Odin, I didn't do many of the provided in-game activities. If there was more time, I probably would have gotten to it, but I was so preoccupied spending time with new friends and chatting about the game. I've collected pages of character names.

Honestly, I'm shocked that they WOULDN'T consider doing it every year. I've already assumed that there will be another one next year, and I can't wait to go. :P

I can not stress this enough; NOBODY was expecting the expansion announcement to happen outside of JP; NOBODY.

Knowing that, tons of people flooded Vegas just to meet the awesome people who saved our home and all the friends we met there. THAT is what we care about.

Announce whatever you want; we just want a chance to feel like we matter for a day when Gondai, Koji or Yoshi sign our games or take pics with us. We just want to enjoy the community as much as possible. I already miss my new friends; I left Excalibur to join a new family; tons of us did.

Please make this a yearly thing. <3

Agreed. No matter what the announcement is, the fact that all of us can hang out, meet and talk about everything XIV related and more is awesome!!! The east coast needs some love to. NYC, Boston..... Lets do it! Although any location in the future, i'll be there!

I thought it was pretty transparent that they would be announcing the expansion pack at Vegas. It fits the timeline they've followed over the years with FF XI. The surprising thing was that they scheduled the Vegas Fan Fest first rather than the Tokyo one. Either way, I agree that it was more about the experience than the announcements.

Also, Please, PLEASE have an East Coast Fan Fest one year. The only one we ever got for XI was in Rochester and it was a blast!

Really? Nobody? I'd say speak for your yourself. Me and half of my guild were looking forward to the expansion details to come on the stream. Heck, they've even stated it in the past that during the Vegas fanfest we'd be getting the first expansion details.
