Belias and Zodiark are both in the game already, and the glyph that appears over Lahabrea's face is the symbol of Mateus. I think it's a safe bet that as we get more involved with the fighting the Ascians directly (instead of just dealing with their puppets) we may see some Ivalice summons.

This. I think we're going to see them coming. Perhaps the Ascians' true form.

To add to that, the information on Mateus:

“Scion of darkness ruling and protecting those who live in the underworld, in opposition to Lahabrea the Abyssal Celebrant and scion of light. In the course of his rule, he submitted to avarice, and the darkness took his heart, transforming him until he was both evil and corrupt. Then in his cowardice did he bind a Goddess of the Demesne of Ice, and using her as a living shield, he challenged the gods. Defeated before their might, he fell screaming into the depths of hell, there to be imprisoned for eternity.”

Each of the Ascians' names (I didn't check them all, just the ones I remember, but I believe it's all of them) are related to one of the 12 Espers in FF12. Elidibus, another one of the Ascians, is the name of the person in FFT who uses Zodiark.

I'm sure there are more detailed posts about this in the lore section

Yeah, there are are connections. Lahabrea and Nabriales, the other two named ascians, are the Scion of Light equivalents of Mateus and Cucu in XII. Add that to the intent of the Ascians to release/summon Zodiark and Belias-Egi being given to that Smn, it seems like they exist in the FFXIV universe already in some manner, w/ 3.0 possibly going in further. To me, they also represent the next complete pantheon of primals that they could possibly add. Everything else seems to fall into the Shiva, Ifrit, Titan, and etc group, where as the Scions/Lucavi always stood out on their own.

The Ivalice Universe Spans 4 FF games and Vagrant Story (HD Remix please SE!)

The FF12 summons premiere in FFT-A as Totema, just 5, and return as the Espers in FF12 and FFT-A2 as Scions.

FF12~The scions that would become the Espers were created by the Occuria. While the exact number is never revealed, there are at least 24 scions, with each zodiac sign having a light and dark representative.

Proud of her power and status and believing herself superior to her creators, the highest ranking Esper, Ultima, rose up against the gods. Rallying the scions of darkness, they attacked their creators, but even with the combined force of twelve Espers were defeated and banished to the darkest reaches of Ivalice. Sealed in the Mist, they could only walk among mortals if called by a summoner via their glyphs.

A thirteenth scion, Zodiark, was bound by the gods for fear of his power. Unlike the rest of his brethren he is not known to have harbored rebellious desire. It is unknown how long the Espers have been sealed away, but since Dynast-King Raithwall possessed the glyph of Belias it is thought they have been sealed away at least since the era of the Dynast King.~

FFT-A2~here are worlds within our world of Ivalice that we cannot touch or know as we know our own bed, home, or town.

The Netherworld, the Empyreal Plain, the World of Illusion... these are together known as otherworlds, unseen by eye; untouched by hand.

The order of creatures known as scions hails from these otherworlds. They are found in many places, in many lands, and they count among their number emissaries of the gods, protector spirits, and even greater doers of evil.

Though the otherworlds are not normally accessible from Ivalice, if certain requirements are met, it is possible to give otherworldly power a physical manifestation in our world. This is most commonly seen in the pact made by the summoners who calls down an Esper to fight for them.

From the legend of a great mage in the far eastern realms who sundered a magickal seal, thus receiving a scion as a servant, it would seem that they, too, operate by these same principles.

In Jylland, it has been discovered that that summoning of scions is possible with the use of a particular magickal device. However, it is certain that the power manifested through this means is only an echo of the scion's true power. To evoke the true power of a scion, it would be necessary to harmonize oneself to the scion's being, fusing not only one's purpose with the scion, but one's own body and mind. ~

So as we can see from previous lore the Scions could represent the Light Side of the Zodiac and the Ascian could represent the Dark Side and through means of magic or artifact manifest the Totema in other worlds. It's more then reasonable to have them in FF14 considering the Ascians are trying to bring Zodiark into Eorzea, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

FD- I am currently playing FF12 for the first time since it came out and I am really enjoying it.
