Correction of prices for optional items

I like having the option to get cosmetic items... in like, you know, the game.

The way cosmetic items are handled in-game as of now is crappy as hell. Unless you have million gils, you cannot have it.

It's been three patches and still I can't have the Spring Dress because of the stupid price its materials are put at, and who knows when they'll be made easier to get.

I'd prefer hand over five bucks and get it.

Looks like their plans to make you buy items off their shop worked XP Now you know why vanity items are hard to come by in the first place.

I would rather see the price of the subscription go a bit higher than to see a cash shop which gives people advantage of expressing themselves artistically rather than being able to do so by earning their glamour in game. People want to express themselves of their style/personality and now they're going to be charging people to do so with such items. Seasonal event items should stay seasonal, not bought all year round. Also the prices on the shop are ridiculous and I highly disagree with them. This cash shop only shows greed not care towards the player base. One thing i fell in love with in this game was that you can earn everything IN GAME along with everyone else. If you missed the event you wait till next year and buy it cheap for gil keeping the items seasonal. We pay subscriptions because we enjoy the game and want to keep playing it but when decisions like this come out you lose money from subscribers and lose players/popularity.

So you think everyone should pay more rather than just the people who want these items? That doesn't make sense to me.

As long as you think you're getting your $15/mth worth from the game, I don't understand the complaints about the cash shop. Yes, yes, they could have put those items in the game for free, but there's no reason to believe that they would have.

I don't know about you, but without the cash shop items, I'm certainly getting my money's worth. Now with the cash shop, the game is still the same (same value), but now I can choose to pay more for additional vanity items. I like having the choice.

I agree. I'd much rather give SE $3 (and see the money go back into development of the game) for a cool piece of vanity gear than to farm gil in game for months just to get the same piece of gear from a crafter who is controlling the MB and attempting to shut out their competitors. (I'm looking at those crafters who send other new crafters /tells and threaten them for trying to break into the market.)

Unless the materials were priced over 70mil I'd understand but that is not the case.
Dude, even with a low level botanist you can make a lot of gil to buy those mats. Even with low level crafts, you can make money as you level them. That's how I've done it. C'mon people. I mean what's the point of playing then if you are just going to buy it with real money anyways. =/

I got my Goobue mount by doing the tribe quests and even though it took a long time and the quests were tedious sometimes, I don't regret it one bit. I'd choose doing quests over paying rl money to buy it (if there was such option) because the gratification is way superior. I'm here to play the game afterall, not to use short cuts. That's just me though. *shrugs*
