Keep past content out of Cash Shop

I want to help clear up some peoples confusion on the past event items.
For this I will use the Moonfire Farie as an example.
For those of you who completed the very first one you can get your items from the calamity salvager, but this year for those of us who did not partake in the event we could also buy all of the previous items from a separate store for a few 100 gil.
That is now not an option with the Halloween event and wont be for any events in the future. We have to buy the ghost costume from the cash shop if we want it.

I'm thoroughly against cash shop exclusive items. If they were vanity pieces that you would pay for to avoid a grind (Odin/Behe drops, achievement minions, etc.), then fine - players who cannot spend extra money on the game could still get the items with time.

Like others have mentioned, stat-less items are more important to some players (myself included) than statted gear - to say that 'because only vanity is to be sold, the addition of the cash shop is minor' shows ignorance of the people you're playing alongside. Having said that, it seems that Yoshi-P has also been struck by this ignorance.

In fact, along with the housing debacle, it seems Y-P is trying to drive out the fans of the non-combat elements of the game and focus on pleasing the combat-oriented players.

I am very concerned for Gold Saucer at this rate, worried that it'll be a series of trivial 'minigame' time-sinks instead of actual, cerebral, games to play.

Because now everytime something is revealed I'll have to think "Oh, is this content developed for everyone that I can get in game, or something that I'll have to pay extra/separate charge for". That isn't something you should have to worry about when you're already paying in a sub model.

Basically This!!! I too am afraid now on new content being developed solely for a cash shop and removed from in game aquisition.

I feel the same way as most of you. I am okay with the concept of a cash shop as long as it offers minions, mounts, and services like name change or Fantasia. I am NOT okay with it featuring items that had content attached to them like the seasonal event items. If I am to pay cash for those items, I want the entire quest line unlocked for me so I can play the content and earn the items and achievement for the seasonal event.

I had an active sub last year for All Saints Wake, but could not log in and do the event due to a current family emergency at the time. Then I hear the only way I can get the past items is via a cash shop during the livestream. I was so so so sad to hear it. I don't know if I will cancel my sub completely, but this kind of thing saps my motivation to want to even play.

While I love the design for White Ravens, don't have a pair myself, and want more earring designs, I will be upset if they add them to the cash shop since I feel that they are the reward for the people who put in time and effort in to defeat Rivenroad HM in 1.0. Particularly since they are only vanity now anyways.
