Give Carbuncle some love!

With new egis that will soon follow every summoner, its sad to see poor cute Carbuncle left out only for arcanist to use whom have little viability in game after lvl 30.

I donno how the other egis would fit but if its for cosmetic purposes then allow us to get our 1st summons back to use also.

I sometimes run as an Arcanist just to have carby around, but others eat me up for going for an inferior dps over summoner.

Seriously. I want to play arcanist for carbuncle (even if it lags really far behind for some reason when you run). The actual summoner summons are just... meh.

I'd like if they'd allow us to use Carbuncle instead of Egis on SMN... Or at least still allow us to summon carby. They have the same commands. though I'm unsure if they have stat differences.

Carbuncle is pretty true to his incarnations in other FF Titles, it looks like care went into making him. I don't feel the same about the Flaming stick Idol, Chicken McTitan, and Green Origami bird. So this is perhaps why I find him more visually appealing. Its also because Carbuncle is one of my favorite summons/enemies. When I have Garude-Egi, Titan-Egi, and Ifrit-egi out, I don't feel like I'm a summoner with Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit... like I might in other FF titles, notably FFXI where the Avatars were pretty well made.

Still like the job, and I get in XIV having Avatars like what existed in XI or other past FF would be distracting and cumbersome...

Let it go... Carbuncle served its purpose as an entry level pet. In all honesty, there's no difference between Garuda-Egi and Emerald Carbuncle. They have exactly the same skills. The devs have already announced on several occasions there are no plans to change that.

If anything, we should be annoyed that the 'replacement' pets are meaningless upgrades which serve only cosmetic purposes. It's funny how we're supposed to be channeling the power of the elementals for these new pets and somehow end up with an identical skillset to pre-summon days. I guess all that wind energy is only used to make Garuda's appearance.

Last time we had a discussion like this, someone said that there could be some vanity weapons that changes the appearance of our egis to carbuncles, I would love that

I believe, through reading, they're asking for the option of allowing us to summon either Garude-Egi or Emerald Carby... Titan Egi or Emerald Carbuncle... since in essence its just a cosmetic difference as they have the exact same abilities. I for one agree with this.
