Give suggestions for things you'd pay RL money for

I'd pay to make it so all vanity purchases show up as level 1 hempen cloth gear and make mounts and pets invisible and just a generic chocobo with no barding.

That way I could only see the mounts and pets and gear people actually earned instead of purchasing it.

Why not? There's been very few suggestions I would've thrown out, but otherwise there's a lot of good ideas, like name changes.

Unique NPC clothing, would like to be able to rock one of the legati armor or Minfilia's outfit.

I will only buy services like name changes, server transfers. Any in game item (fantasia aside since it normally works as a service on other mmos) is a step too far when paying a monthly fee. The old costumes from previous years are fine as it was optainble in game at some point.


Simple skin changes i would be alright, but rather standoffish about. IE: being able to change Egis from potato to mini prmals. Mounts border this line very closely, but if they had a sleiphnir drop from odin, and a pink sparkly one from cash shop it would have less of an impact for me personally.

Per digital items, please limit it - I don't want to feel like I'm paying for a free to play game. I do not go out of my way to make what I would consider bad purchases, and paying for what would be free is a bad purchase. I'm quite leery of the shop now but not forsaken of FFXIV, bombarding the shop with new contents that feel like they should be in the game would be a good way of changing my mind lol.

However, I'd pay RL monies for a lore book/design book. Some pictures and a bunch of witty smart mouth remarks with wonderful lore like we know one eyed batty and team can do. Depending on breadth and amount of Thal's balls I'd probably pay at or more than the art book - would be neat to have some tome like books that tell the tales of Eorzea cross volumes.

Oh another thing I would add is buyable dyes you can only get from retainers. Like the new silver, gold and jet black stuff.

That would be cool, but it would also be Pay-2-Win and SE already said they wont. Which is a good thing. Besides with 2.4 They said at fan fest they;ll be more than doubling the atma drop rate.

I prefer the whole idea of strange or, cool or, pretty things that have appeal but don't give you an advantage like perhaps this dress below

not necessarily those colours but stuff like this(the shoes too)
and before any of you down this idea remember that many players are currently running around fighting in next to nothing(swimwear or the coliseum gear)
