How so? You get one cookie each time run it even if don't hit the civies and only hit the mages in disguise. Granted it would take running it 16 times but that's not much. In general if just careful you can get around 3-6 cookies per fate run, if helps do as I did and turn off other players names above their heads in settings which makes seeing the location of the ones want to hit much easier.

PS3 limitations
What specifically is the problem though? Lag? Like too many people spamming and following the quest NPC? If so then making them un-tradable will work in your favor as people currently are camping it to stock up on cookies for selling to others of which if was unable to trade then the amount of people camping the NPC would decrease maybe. That's the ideology behind why I mentioned doing so earlier in an effort to help people get them by reducing the amount of camping the of fate going on for cookies right now. Though there is the problem of if don't also make them un-sellable to market then people will still camp and sell on there I guess.

Ul'dah in still a busy place. The fate goes right past the main aethyrite.
The issue is the same issue I have with hunts: Nothing loads and then it's over. I wouldn't even be able to do the Medica II spam method because that'd require me to be able to target people in my party, which usually is not happening. Sometimes they pop up until I do a very small move.
I don't know if the Medica trick actually works but, Medica I and II are AoE. Just have a general hunch of where your party members are, and aim it on yourself. It'll hit them.Ul'dah in still a busy place. The fate goes right past the main aethyrite.

I got all the cookies to buy the 2 items in like 3 fate runs? I got 3, 3 and then a 6. Why are people buying cookies anyways? Are you really that lazy you can't spend 10 min running an easy ass fate? lol.
it's to deal with client crashes and server lag that's occuring in instances as well as during normal play so it's server instability across all severshttp://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-%28Oct.-21%29
Out of curiosity, anyone knows what the emergency is?

I'm surprised they didn't make the fate available in all 3 cities. At least for the people who have limitations it wouldn't be as demanding and laggy. I did it tonight and it reminded me of Hunts all over again! haha
Got my stack of 12 cookies in 4 runs. Wasn't bad but there were a lot of people complaining it was so laggy that the citizens weren't showing up until the fate was almost over. But there are people buying them $5000 for 10. If thats the case I will spam that fate all day to make easy money!
If anything its the event, I try my dam hardiest to get Gold but all I can ever do is get silver.
