Can somebody help me with a gear loadout? I need to know what gear should I use with my current inventory.

If you don't want to open link, here is my general loadout. (all evenstar gear unweathered)

Weapons - Laev (110), Animus
Head - Evenstar
Chest - Evenstar, Scylla
Hands - High Allagan(HA) Gloves, Evenstar
Waist - Evenstar, HA belt
Legs - HA breeches (just got them ), Evenstar, Scylla
Feet - HA boots, Evenstar

All ACCs are Evenstar with 1 Judgement Ring of Casting.

Questions:

1. What would you do if your thunder dot drops off while you are in astral or in the middle of your fire rotation? Just recast it in astral? I'm low level so maybe it doesn't happen at 50, but just wondering.

2. When should you use surecast ideally?

1) Wait for ice.
2) Almost never; the few situations you do are barely worth noting / are intuitive enough that you can figure it out.

44spd/31det or 44spd/21acc/10det are builds listed on Puro's sheet. 44spd/23pie/8whatever is a weird option if you're interested in 6fire rotation at some point (novelty; not recommended yet).

Apparently I can't afford the 44sspd/31 det lol, so I was wondering if the 44sspd/21acc/10det won't cripple my DPS too much? Also if I go with the later, would this be accurate?

You don't put in t1 > t2 > t3 > t4 > t1 > ..., you put in all of a tier before moving onto next.

10 det would be 7/3/0/0.

Oh great, so you're pretty much saying it automatically caps the tier? like on that 10 det I would start with t1 and it will automatically cap at 7?

1st tier det materia always caps at 7, 31 det is 7/8/8/8.

What is the cons of having a class based in Determination over Spell Speed and Crit?
