So I'm doing this trial thing and that's all well and fine. I've managed to get to level 18 but... I ran out of quests. The only thing I have left is some group dungeon thing. I'm not sure where I'm suppose to go next.

That dungeon quest is part of your main scenario. That questline follows you all the way to 50 and beyond and unlocks stuff as you progress. Continue with that quest and dont forget about your class quests as well.
