How am I meant to level with a friend now?

lol you still don't understand anything. I leveled all of my 75s, aside from Cor, to 75 before ToAU so I wasn't one of those that sat around spamming piercing skills on Colibri. Blm I solo/duod to 75. Problem? Honestly though, if FFXIV is too hard for you, which I laugh at you if it is, then you have every right to get off of the forums, quit the game, and go play something that is more on your level..like..Hello Kitty Online.

Hello kitty online is very grindy actually, and I have a life so I don't like grindy games. I want XIV to survive, which it won't if players like you who think slow and boring is "hard" get their way.

I don't despise it. Crikes, can we can the whole "if you don't like every single thing in the game you should go away now" thing? Sorry, I like this game, so I am going to fight to save it.

lol save what? It has gotten better.. not worse clown shoes. I give up.. if SE listenes to LuxLex i'll just quit again.. like i did before because the game sucked so bad.. if it was so good before 1.18 why did the population INCREASE afterwards and why did so many people quit before 1.18 and go back to XI and other games?

Did I say nothing had gotten better? For one thing, I think collision detection is much better now. Yey not walking around tiny ledges.

As for the population getting bigger, I am sure a few people have come back and will play regularly, but I don't think you can count people coming and checking out the patch as permanent quite yet.

I am advocating for things that didn't work in this patch to get fixed. That isn't the same thing as hating the game.

everything seems to be working as intended to me.. just pt'd for hours and my CON has 0 problems keeping the PT healed and had no MP issues.. I play as an ARC and have no problems with the changes to ARC.. so ummm yea don't even go there.

I gained over 70K SP in 3hrs doing various tasks around Eorzea that they have given us to do.. besides just grinding 1 task.. I did Leve's, and Behest, and PT EXP'd, and have a freaking blast.. as did the other 7 people with me. Sorry you suck at life and at video games.

But there's grinding in those games, and I think he's made it pretty clear he doesn't like grinding unless it's in FFXI.
