Great. So now people that enjoy vanity have to pay more to enjoy the game than a player who doesnt? What makes those players better then the others to make them pay less to enjoy the game? How about you make it so we can pay more for +1 weapons and stats? I'm sure the vanity lovers would be okay with that but not the other group this time around.

SE as a 1.0 player who was subbed all of 1.0 and technically supported and cheered you on 2.0, this is more than a slap to the face and a complete greed.

Just going to move to a f2p game, not going to p2p a game with a cash shop with all due respect. Let the fanboys throw their monies at you im not one of them.

Everything what is worth playing for is "vanity".

Buying a shirt for 5€ vs bringing all your DoH to 50, bring your desynth to a high enough level to get Mastercraft materia to get the recipe books and pentamelding all your gear to craft a 3 star shirt is the same thing... it's just vanity, it's not pay 2 win because there is no +20STR on it.

Ultimately it's not Yoshida's call. True he is lead of team but even he answers to people higher than he. It may very well be that he didn't want to add a cash shop but if he was told to do so or find a way to make more money from the game. This may have been his answer instead of increasing sub prices. Far fetched I know but it is possible. Business is business. SE isn't obliged to "give" anyone a thing because they pay a sub. You pay rent for an apartment doesn't mean you own it or the things therein. It is the same principle here. Just because you drop fifteen or better a month doesn't entitle you nor I to a thing other than the time we purchased. And even that is subject to SE's desires.

That being said as long as it is kept fair to everyone in that nothing that affects progression is sold I am okay with it. Though I am certain I am going to be hated on for using my brain instead of my emotions. So be it. /popcorn

I think I've wasted enough time here. If people are confronted with reasonable fact and just want to keep on making assumptions based on fear or non-MMO games, there's no point in even bothering.


@Teirshin EA is desperate for money because they've been losing money for years. (Star Wars Online? Sim City? Yeah..) SE on the other hand, is back on the up-side.

Unless this starts affecting the game directly, there really isn't a problem with cosmetic items.
