Is 3 star crafting worth it right now?

Hey guys, i got back into FFXIV a couple weeks ago and am trying to get my crafts caught up again. I have everything at 50 and am leveling my goldsmith desynthing but I'm currently trying to figure out if I want to get into 3 star crafting at all.

On my server it just doesn't really seem that lucrative right now. I play on leviathan which is high pop as far as NA server goes, and only a couple of the 3 star goldsmith accessories seem to sell well at all, and those only sell one every 2-3 days. The rest sell once a week if that. I mean I guess its still decent profit but with items selling that infrequently is it really worth the effort? I'd have to get my artisan mainhand + fully meld all my gear and thats a big investment to begin with.

I dunno, I just feel like I'd almost be better off focusing on desynthing and selling fieldcraft IIIs and mastercraft demimateria for now. Anyone have any input?

Profit isn't all about one big sale.

You want to be ready for 2.4 and the new recipes coming out.

I know it isnt all about profit, thats actually my point. Each sale of the 3 star items is probably 200k profit but theyre only selling every few days on my server.

Profit isn't ONE big sale. There is no difference between the guy who sells 100 items for 100 gil vs the one who sells 1 item for 10000 gil except how quickly said items are bought.

Better tools = can use rotations that require less Hasty Touch, less CP, less HQ mats, and/or less actions (use 1 macro instead of 2-3). Saves time and time is money.

3 star crafts are over 6 months old, of course they're not going to be incredibly profitable. to make good gil you have to be first to market, and then compete in the market when the items are in demand. the gs accessories were never in high demand becuause the materia needed to make them decent is too expensive, however the rest of the 3star were very profitable for the first 3 or 4 months after release. when 2.4 drops there will most likely be 4 star i110 crafts which will require some sort of grind that will require artisan tools to attempt.

Ok the best 3 star classes to have is Goldsmith, and Carpenter, and Alchemist, for Artisan master book. Total waster for BSM, CUL. BSM if you paid gil to unlock you get 3 spells, CUL, no one is using the food, I gave it to a healer and caster for the Spell Spell & Deter and they just ate buttons of black truffle.

For Demi-craft master book: ALC, BSM, CAR,and GSM, but WVR wasn't worth my time. But in 2.4 it looks like wedding dresses and Tuxedos can cost up to a mil+

The 3 star tank food sells fairly well on my server I've made some minor profits off it might not be the same amount as GSM per synth but its cheap enough to get the mats (more so if you have the ixali maxed.
