    There is a a lot of RP here yes! I moved for the same reason and haven't regretted it. I recommend checking Hydaelyn Role-Players if you haven't already - it's a nice way to find others to RP with, lots of chat about character development and lore, and most public RP events are posted on there.

    There is generally always RP in the Quicksand in Ul'Dah and the other main cities, and people often have 'open to walk-up RP!' in their little info boxes. I'm sure there are several active LS and FCs as well.
