That's cause they want new players to be able to get up there fast to raid with their friends. I'm not a fan of it but I wouldn't be a fan of slogging 90 levels alone while friends raid and leave me behind.

Then make the base level 90 with the option to start out at level 1.

What they realy want is to make more cash off their game. Its understandable, they are a business. But don't be feed the BS lines that they are doing it for YOUR benefit, if that was the case they would not charge $50 for it.

Know what would hurt too? Not getting 15 a month from a possible player who wants to play with friends who spent tons of time to get there. After a certain point of a games age doing certain content is hard cause no one is there to really help. They are giving you an option too. 2 actually.
1. Preorder the expansion get base game and all old expansions AND a free level boost to 90.
2. Spend the 50 just to get the 90.

If they really cared about the player who is having trouble catching up they would not charge him $50 in order to do so.

I understand that blizzard is a business, and i understand that as a business they are in the business of making money. And i understand that as a business that is in business to make money that they weigh options to maximize profits.

But please please PLEASES do not think that they added this service for your benefit, they did it to exploit you not help you.
